Community Updates:
*Board Meeting: Regular monthly Board of Commissioners meeting will be held Thursday, February 16th, 2011, at 1pm in the Housing Authority Board Room.
*Board meetings are open to the public and each agenda includes a public comment section. Anyone wishing to speak should be present 5 minutes prior to the start of the meeting and put their name on the sign-in sheet. Those wishing to be heard will be given 3 minutes to address the Board.
*Neighborhood Watch Program-We are planning a second meeting with the Town of Beaufort Police Department in an attempt to get a Neighborhood Watch Program started on the Second Street and Legion Drive portions of the property. Joining the Neighborhood Watch Program will help to improve the community and time can be used toward your Community Service obligations. For those that are 18 years or older, not currently working at least 30 hours a week, or not classified as elderly or disabled, please contact the Executive Director, Caryn Stein, at 252-728-3226 to explain where you are currently performing your Community Service or to express your intent to attend the next Neighborhood Watch meeting.
REAC Inspections: The REAC Inspector will be on site, Thurs. & Fri. February 16 & 17. He will randomly select 25 units to inspect. Maintenance Staff will conduct pre-REAC inspections the first week of February.
